I stood in that room. I saw him. His sunken eyes, his gaunt frame. Truly, he was a ghoul, any life he once had was taken from him as his freedom was.

Chookmare

We stared at each other for quite a while, until he spoke. Gravelly, near death but kept alive by unnatural means. He told me the truth about what happened that day, and it shook me to the core. I now carry a dark secret which I will take to my grave.

So whatever torture occurred or did not occur in that room would pale in comparison to the torture my soul will experience for eternity.

Protagonist

Okay but did you shoot him and was it bloody?

Chookmare

I care not but for the black blood that pumps through my hardened heart.
